I agree with Dennis. Also, re "Timberline Sparrows," I have heard
Brewer's singing at Wenatchee Guard Station above 6000 feet in the Blues,
but I have also found them common in summer on Steptoe Butte at 2500+
feet. From Wenatchee Guard Station one can look out upon an unbroken
grassland zone connecting high elevations and the 'Timberless Transition
Zone" of the [is it the nominate race?]. Before we jump on this
particular band wagon we need to examine our region for zones of
contact, something Ned K. Johnson failed to consider in urging that we
split the Western Flycatcher.
