Re the Mexican guide, be aware that a new guide to birds of Mexico & northern
Central Amer. by Howell & Webb (Oxford U. Press) is due out in July.

The Peterson & Peterson volume is the Audubon Society Baby Elephant Folio of
Audubon's Birds of North America; large format (11.5 x 15"), high quality
color.

There are a bunch of other Peterson's Field Guide titles (mammals, Pacific
seashells, wildflowers, etc.); if you're interested in a particular one, e-mail

In my experience books usually arrive (in Seattle) about 2 weeks after I mail
my order in (i.e., he is prompt). If you want _Shorebirds_ or _Seabirds_, it
would behoove you to get an order in soon; these books are popular (deservedly
so) and will probably go fast.
