I'm one of the silent tweeters, as well. However, that's mostly because
I haven't been able to get much birding in and when I have (I went to
Malhuer in July), I haven't had time to do a trip report. But I still
find tweeters very informative, and friendly. Some of the discussions
are beyond my level of expertise, but I don't feel they are
intimidating. All of the more experienced birder's seem eager to help
the newer ones.

That being said, I'd be interested in Yardbirds for many of the reasons
Dennis mentioned, though I will probably only lurk (unless I'm home long
enough to see the birds. I know they eat the food!). I live in Seattle
in the View Ridge area, with five Douglas Firs in the back yard to
attract birds.

And to other beginning or intermediate birder's: feel free to speak up!
I think this is a very supportive group on Tweeters.

Thanks, Dan, for the great artwork and for putting so much of this
together!
