Michael, I think I did respond to your latest comments on shorebird
arrivals, but for the most part I don't save copies of what I write.
Briefly, thanks again for the info, and you confirmed what I thought about
most wintering Western Sandpipers being males. You still didn't say
anything about Short-billed Dowitcher dates, which I assume you should have
(or are there too many unidentified dowitchers?).

The gull story was just amazing, and I hope you aren't offended by my
rather intense response--certainly not directed at you.
