On Saturday, Aug. 20 From about 13:00 and lasting about
three hours, various components of the halcyon systems
including news and mail, as well as the terminal servers
will receive upgrades. During this timeframe, any or
all portions of our network will be un-reachable for
a brief period.

Updates on the progress will be announced on our system
status line at (206) 453-8908 throught this time period.

Current plans include adding memory to halcyon, beefing
up the news machine, and assigning new network addresses
to the terminal servers. We will endeavor to keep global
outages to a mimimum, focusing on one portion at a time.
