If everyone who can will send in a message describing evening crow flights
over their house--direction and volume would do it, I guess--to tweeters, I
will copy them and if there are enough of them will see if I can detect
what's going on. It may not be too easy, as I think the ones at my house
changed direction yesterday! I live in Mapleleaf, at 98th St. between NE
15th Ave. & Lake City Way, and the large crow flights there typically head
south-southeast in winter, and I've assumed they're going to the Foster's
Island roost. For the last week or so a smaller flight seemed to leave the
staging trees behind my house and head north, but last night a larger bunch
came from the north and left toward the south. It would really be
interesting if we discover that roosting groups actually cross each others'
path.
