I have a picture of a Spotted Sandpiper nest, which I took at
Hand Lake in the Oregon Cascades (Lane County). The elevation
there is higher than 4500 feet, but less than 5000 feet. I think
it's not uncommon, if the habitat is suitable. I've seen them
often at other high lakes.
