I am new to the area and am currently spending my free time, which I have
lots of (jobless in Seattle), twitching and listing. I have enjoyed many
trips to both the coast and the eastern slope thanks to S.A.S, and met
some nice people. With owl season approaching in a month or so, I would
like some information on good owling spots. The closer to Seattle the better,
however I am not averse to a three or four hours of driving if the birding
potential is good. Somebody had mentioned a particular county which is
renowned for owls, but I didn't catch the name.

In particular:
N. Pygmy (Mountain Pygmy ?)
flammulated
Great Grey
Long-eared
N. Saw-whet
N. Hawk

Also, I am in the market for a second-hand tripod, if you have one
that you would sell, get in touch.
