Okanogan County is a fabulous place for owls. All Washington owls are
proven to breed there except N. Hawk-Owl (thats my next owling project, as
I suspect a very few occasionally nest about the burns in the subalpine).
Flams are locally common, as are N. Pygmies, Great Grey are scarce but
regularly noted, esp. January through April when they are calling. Boreals
breed in the high country west of the Okanogan River. I'm willing to help
you find them. Yep, by the end of December, they will be reactivated.
