Hi Michael,

In eastern Washington, I hear Song Sparrows give 2 identifiable calls:

1-the classic "chimp" note
2-a lisping "tsip" call not very different from that of a
Golden-crowned Sparrow, but separable with practise. Bill Tweit is a master
of these call notes on your side of the hill. Bird with him and you'll soon
be picking these out.
