I think most people missed the point of my post because I misused the word
numerous. I guess what I meant is that Ross' Gulls in North America appear
to be just as likely inland as along the coast. And with the the two or
three records
from the Oregon coast, and the up til now lack of Washington records, if
there were a pattern, it would be birds moving from the northeast (Churchill
?) toward
the Pacific Coast across the continent. Hence my question on our Bonaparte's

Gulls.


Along with this, I would suggest that the Ross' Gull is now along the Oregon

coast somewhere, perhaps Tilamook or Newport.
