Thought you might be interested in knowing that the gull made the
front section (though not front page) of the Oregonian last week. Had a
short interview with the fellow who found it, a description of the gull, a
map showing where the bird normally is found, a (B&W) line drawing of
said gull species. Quite a reasonable effort for the "Snoregonian".

I was pleased to see this show up as a hard-news item, rather than
stuffed in the Living or NW Outdoors section.
