Two flocks of Gray-crowned Rosy Finches were seen along HWY 2 between
Waterville and Coulee city in Douglas County yesterday afternoon. The first
flock was large with about 200 birds and the other I counted with 47 birds.
Watch for them feeding on spilt grain along the snowy road shoulder.

Later in Waterville I had 31 Bohemian Waxwings feeding in an old apple tree on
the south end of town.
