Dianna, I watched a varied thrush under the apple tree amongst the
windfalls in my backyard this weekend too, and thought it rare, (of course
I live only a few blocks away from you). Our regulars include Sparrows
(mostly house sparrows), Juncos & Chicadees, a Flicker, a hairy
woodpecker, nuthatches, a few starlings, at least 2 families of crows, and
a sharp shinned hawk.
