Joe, I'll give you a resounding second on the attractivness of Hawthorn
to birds, winter/spring/summer/fall it is the most productive food source
in our small yard. Warblers and swallows love the infestations of
leafhoppers and thrips. The berries are so attractive to fruit eaters
that it even pulled in a Red Lored Conure! ID tentative but I
got a good picture.
