I went up to Tsawwassen this morning to try and find the adult Emperor Goose. In
the morning it was not at its usual place along the Bay by 12th street so I went
to Reifel for a few hours and then returned around 2pm. It was still not there
but luckily, Mr. Pointer, who was the person who found it on Sunday, saw me and
came over to tell me that it was on the nearby golf course. We went there and
found it on a small man-made lake. The way to get there is to goeast on 12th St.
in the middle of Tsawwassen as described by Price but take a right on Jackson
Way just before you get to the right turn in 12th St. This will lead you to a
bunch of houses around the course. Thereare two small lakes and the goose was
on both of them this afternoon. It is injured but can fly. Another interesting
find here was a Turkey Vulture! Clark Blake, Dept.Geol. WWU, Bellingham.
