They eat a lot of small aqautic crustaceans which, if I remember,
the chain correctly filter feed on small diatoms. The shimpy
things are pink because of the diatoms. Ross's Gulls and flamingos
are pink because of the shrimpy things.

Isn't nature wonderful??
