A couple of years ago I was looking through my 300mm at some miscellaneous gull
s and a small gull appeared with a pale but distinct rosy breast. At 1st I th
ought it was a Ross' but it soon resolved into a bright breeding plumaged Rin
g-bill. (It was early April I recall). What had this bird been eating? Has a
