Hi Tweeters,

The adult Emperor Goose at Beach Grove S of Vancouver BC has been caught
and taken to a wildlife rehab center, Wildlife Rescue, in Burnaby. X-rays
show a broken femur, fractured when the bird flew into some overhead wires
a week ago. The poor little mite is somewhat emaciated and will be fed to
bring it up to weight before any surgery to repair the break.
Optimistically, the attending vet thinks there's a possibility that the
femur may heal by itself, rendering surgery unnecessary.

Another argument for buried powerlines.
