Hi Tweeters,

This is the spookiest coincidence in the five years I've been doing the
Vancouver BC Alert.

Yesterday, Monday Dec 12, the adult Emperor Goose at Beach Grove (Vancouver
BC's first in nearly 20 years, and only fourth overall) was picked up and
bundled off to a rehab center to recover from a severe injury to its right
leg which rendered the leg useless. It is still in the rehab center, and
will be for some time.

Today, one *day* later, an adult Emperor Goose was on the N side of the
Roberts Bank Coalport Jetty in SW Ladner, just a few kilometers from Beach
Grove. To compound the coincidence, this bird cannot use its right leg.

I don't believe in doppelgangers, but I don't believe not quite as hard as
I did yesterday.
