Response to the San Juan trip has been very good.About 18 people have expressed
interest and most of you have wanted more information.Since the trip is not an
official WOS or Tweeters activity (it is open to anyone),this will be the last
time that I will contact people thru the network. We will leave from the
Bellingham Marina at about 9am on Jan.14 and return there about 3pm.On a shorter
trip on Nov.6,there were large numbers of loons, grebes, cormorants, ducks
(Harlequins,scoters,Old Squaws,etc.)eagles,gulls,etc. plus marbled murrelets,
pig.guill.,C.Murres, Rhino.Auklets,etc.It should be even better now.As I said
earlier, the cost should be somewhere around $25 depending on how many go.The
boat will hold a lot but I would like to limit it to a maximum of 30 in order
to communicate with everyone. I will send further information on meeting place,
what to bring, wear, etc.,to each of you who responded to me in about a week.
