Spotted, confirmed by 3 others, today at the Edmonds fishing pier was a
common black-headed Gull (Larus ridibundus). As you go out the pier you
are heading west just before you get to the main fishing pier look north
in the general vicinity of the outfall. The bird was there most of the
day. It was among a group of Bonaparte's. It is easily ID based on it's
size and bill color. While I was there the bird flew a short distance
thus the wing pattern and feet color were also verified. What a great way
to wind up the year.
