Ravens may simply be to cool for food.

Well, maybe not that cool, but I would like to think so. Remember that
ravens as well as other corvids are accomplished predators and expert
scavengers. They will eat anything that they can catch or anything that fits
down their throat. A pretty good survival tactic.
