Sounds like a fun day, even without a lot of birds.

Since the weather was crystal clear I took a little drive today (Fri).
First leg was up the Sultan Basin Road. Pretty dead. Lots of gun shot
sounds from the multitude of shooting areas. I haven't tried this area
during spring, early morning prime time. Nice looking habitat, but the
other times I've been up there it was pretty quiet too.

I stopped at Wallace Falls SP and left because of 2 groups of boistrous
hikers. Only bird was a lone raven up over the power lines.

Then I drove up to Index and 10 miles up FS63 to the snow bound end. Saw
several groups of ravens and probably crows too plus a few chickadees and
possible kinglets. I spent more time admiring the snow covered landscape
and watching the river than I did looking for birds. I just needed to
get out.

Next week, during the week I may go on up to the Nordic center and look
for Teresa's white birds. When my plans firm up I'll post an invitation.
