Job announcement:

Two field assistants are needed to conduct songbird point counts and
collect associated vegetation data at scattered locations throughout the
forests of Oregon and Washington. Applicants should be familiar with
identification of Northwest songbirds by sight and sound. The job will
entail considerable driving between survey sites, working at early hours,
and living out of hotels (possibly some camping as well). Vehicles will
be provided and accomodations will be paid. Pay will be $1000-1200/month
(depending on experience) plus per diem. Work will begin during last
week of April and continue through first week of July. A data entry
position may be available later in the summer.
