As a newcomer to Tweeters, and also to semi-serious birding, I want to
invest in a quality spotting scope without breaking the bank. I thought
some on this list, living in the same area, might be able to give some
advice. We do a lot of birding on the Long Beach Peninsula. As a
fly-fisherman, I do a lot of watching along the west side rivers and east
side lakes.

I have had good reports on the Kowa scopes but have been unable to locate
a store in Western Washington where I can see them and get some expert
advice.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated!
