Subject: hot off the press peregrine update....

the male fledgling peregrine was found sitting on the ground
at westlake center, looking as though he had run into a
building. the bird was rushed to woodland park zoo for a
visit with the veterinarians and he is apparently okay.
x-rays have shown no broken bones. he was just dazed. he is
also quite thin (as is typical in newly fledged birds). he
will likely be released this afternoon, although the final
decision has not yet been made yet.

the female eyass fledged sometime yesterday, i was told, but
i have not yet been told the exact time (darn! i didn't see
it for myself!).
