I have just received information that there are 5 places available on a
tuna fishing charter out of Newport this weekend. It is a 48-hour trip,
leaving Friday evening. The boat will likely go over 100 miles offshore!
Fishing price is $270, there will likely be a significant rate reduction
for non-fishing passengers [maybe as much as 50% saving, but don't hold
me to it].

Contact me right away if you are interested in this, or upcoming tuna trips.
I am still gathering all the details, and am seriously considering breaking
out the VISA card for this one!

I'll post more details later, but please contact me quickly if you're
considering it. How do you prepare tuna, anyway?

What birds might be out there? It is only a little early for fall migrant
seabirds. But I suspect Fork-tailed and Leach's Storm Petrels, Long-tailed
Jaeger. What about pterodroma petrels (I wonder if I could even identify
one? horrors!)? Laysan Albatross? Other kinds of Storm-Petrels? Mottled
Petrel?
