I don't know whether to believe this or not, but a friend (non-birder, but
observant outdoor oriented) swears he is having regular visits to his
lakeside house by a Fulvous Whistling-Duck. He refuses to reveal the
location (for fear of being overrun by birders) but has offered to call me
if it comes again. I know in general that the house is on a smaller east
side lake. Is this sighting possible?
