[AGAIN--The call goes out for anyone with a few extra minutes each week
to transcribe this hotline for BIRDWEST and TWEETERS when I move - mid
July. It's painless and VERY EASY with Kas' help! Thanks! - Stacy

This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington
bird hotline for Friday, June 10, 1994. If you wish to bypass this
recording and simply leave a message for me, including the date of your
sighting and the DeLorme atlas page number if you have it, push the star
button on your telephone now.

This hotline, sponsored by Palouse Audubon, is updated every Friday
sometime before the dinner hour.

Birds of note reported this week include BONAPARTE'S GULL,
PHALAROPES, and BARN OWL.

Mike Denny reports first year BONAPARTE'S GULLS and a few phalaropes
from the Walla Walla River Delta on June 4. The delta is just north of
the junction of US 12 and US 730 in western Walla Walla County. See
Washington DeLorme page 40, D as in dowitcher, 1.

I saw a BARN OWL 5 miles south of Moscow on June 7. The bird is
roosting in my wood lot. Call me at (208) 883-0943 if you want more
information.

A reminder to folks to send their Idaho sightings for American Birds
for this spring to Dan Svingen at PO Box 273, St. Maries, Idaho, 83861 by
June 17th. Thanks.

Good birding!
