Trip report for March 6, 1994 to Boundry Bay BC and Reifel Bird Sanctuary

North of BC 99, viewed from Ladner Trunk Road.
Bald Eagle
Read-tailed Hawks
Gulls

The above birds were soaring high, observed some of the hawks and eagles
doing courtship rolls.

Boundry Bay and 72nd St approaching Boundry Bay

1 Snowy Owl (8, 7 visible from one spot 3/4 mi. E of 72nd)
2 Great Blue Heron (to many to count)
3 Bald Eagles (to many to count)
4 Northern Shrike (2)
5 Northern Harrier (male, plus a couple females)
6 Brewer's Blackbird
7 Red-tailed Hawk
8 Western Meadowlark
9 Song Sparrow
10 Rough-legged Hawk
gull (to distant to identify)
duck (to distant to identify)
shorebird flock in flight, probably Dunlin
11 Merlin (Merlin was hunting the shorebirds.)
