This Sunday, Janet and I visited the 72nd street access to Boundary Bay in
B.C. After we has walked a short distance east we came upon the group of
Snowy Owls. It was quite a treat seeing them. I believe we counted 10!

On the way south we stopped at the West 90 in Samish Flats. A Merlin was
perched on the crossarm of a telephone pole only a short distance away.

Bud Anderson arrived leading a field trip. He mentioned they had
successfully tagged the Gray-phase Gyrfalcon with a satelite transmitter
the day before, Saturday. This is great news as there was some fear the
Gyr would leave before they could do it.
