one finds photos of Ronald Bog and the following discussion: " ... A
small lake and bog in north King County, Ronald Bog, was close to
extermination; plans for filling it as a building site were the last
affront to a rich freshwater wetland that had already suffered from peat
extraction, land fill, and sundry other assaults. The neighborhood's
citizenry mounted a campaign to save and restore Ronald Bog. Now it is a
well-manicured county park with lake, shoreline vegetation, and
waterfowl. But it was saved because it could also serve as storage for
seasonal storm water runoff." ... I came across this just this morning
