Hello Tweeters,

This morning there was a quite a show of warblers in our Hawthorn tree near
Green Lake. A pair of Yellow-rumped (Audubon's), a Yellow, a Wilson's, and,
I think, an Orange-Crowned. There was also a singing bird high up in the
tree that I couldn't see, but the song was very distinctive-- a clear, 6-
note musical whistle with the last two notes gracefully trilled, the whole
phrase taking about 2 or 3 seconds. The timbre was "clearer" than a
White-Crowned Sparrow's but not quite as pure as the Black-Capped Chickadee's
"fee-bee-bee" song.

Below is my attempt at a musical rendition of the song (Think of the "A" as
a dotted quarter note and the rest as eighth notes and you get an idea of
the cadence)

What was it? I am just learning to identify birds by sound and I find it
very difficult, so I'd appreciate any guesses.
