The BBC is beginning production of a nature film on the Flying Squirrels of the
world and is looking for additional information about them. Of
particular interest is anyone who has Flying Squirrels as pets, has
them regularly visiting bird feeders at night, etc.

My wife and I had the good fortune to work with them in the film, "Daylight
Robbery II", which focused on (regular) squirrels stealing food from
bird feeders. There were several segments on Flying Squirrels,
including one shot at our home in Maryland.

The producer will be here this weekend to discuss plans for the film
and I thought that BIRDCHAT might provide a good source of leads for
research or film opportunities. Retired Professor Flyger of the
University of Maryland (an authority on squirrels) will be serving as
a consultant on this project.

Please reply to the e-mail address above. Thanks in advance.
