Good morning:

A few minutes ago I saw (heard and THEN saw) a warbler fall to its
death after hitting the window of the catwalk at the Fred Hutchinson
Cancer Research Center. It's with me now, and I'd love to know what
kind of warbler it is (don't have an extra bird guide at the office
yet!). Here are some markings:

EYES--black mask around a spot of yellow, all inside a larger mask of
yellow; THROAT--black; BREAST--yellow upper, white/black further down
(whatever you call this area); BACK--greenish-gray, subtle black
spots; WINGS--slight white wing bars; TAIL--white under.

Any suggestions about what to do with this specimen? Should I go put
it in the fridge for the rest of the day? I thought of calling the
Burke and see if they want it. Any other ideas?

Verse of the day:

To make a prairie
It takes a clover and one bee,
One clover and a bee,
And revery.
The revery alone will do if bees are few.
