Hello, Michael. Thanks for your response. The spraying is going to be
done up in the Entiat River Valley, north of Wenatchee. The river is
sluggish from about the 10-mile point to the 20-or-so mile point. Lots
of standing backwater areas, etc., and so lots of mosquitoes from end of
May to July or so. A person who lives there named Marsh (I think) is
trying to get residents to agree, and contribute to, three helicopter
sprayings this summer, the first to occur on June 9th. The Marshes are
telling people (my neighbors, to be exact) that the spray will ONLY kill
the mosquitoes, nothing else, and that there will be NO harm to
anyone/anything else. They were told that they could let their kids run
around outside while the spraying was happening, etc., no problem.
This sounded too good to be true, so I thought I'd check up on it, and
then contact the Marshes with back-up evidence for an objection.
Any information you can pass on to me will be greatly appreciated. There
is lots of beautiful insect and bird wildlife in the Entiat Valley, and
I'd hate to see it wiped out!
