I just got a call from Ruth Sullivan last night who told me that the
Tacoma Slaty-backed Gull is still present and has been seen regularly
over the last three days (17th-18th-19th) at the Johnson St Rendering
Plant, across from the Gog-le-hi-te wetlands. This is along the Puyallup
River about two miles upstream from the river's mouth (where it was being
seen last week). Apparently the bird returns frequently to the roof of a
building there, and during low and mid tides moves down to the shore of
the river.
