Regarding Black Oystercatchers, Fred Rutan found a pair breeding on a small
island in Skagit County on 14 May. The island is unnamed but can be found
in the Delorme Atlas, page 94 A-3. The island is located at "Rosario Beach"
which is the small bay just northwest of Bowman Bay at the most southwestern
point in Skagit County. Fred found a nest with eggs and one pair of oystercatcers on the island which is visible by scope from shore
