The Seattle City Council has voted to fund a .5 FTE (half-time position)
for the WPZ Raptor Centor for the 1995 calendar year. Zoo personnel are
seeking corporate sponsorship for the remainder of the money. Julie Krick
talked with Sue Donaldson's assistant today who said the Council received
over 60 letters and postcards in support of the Raptor Program and that
it definitely had a positive effect on the vote. Thanks to everyone who
supported this effort.
