Some good things seen around town yesterday (Oct. 3):
A juv. Mourning Dove and 3 scoter sp. at Alki,
3 juv. Pectoral Sandpipers and an adult Greater Yellowlegs at Montlake Fill,
and the punctual Merlin still in Madrona (there is one less Chickadee
around thanks to it). It's showing up earlier now (5:45-6:30).
Is this a better year than most for Pec Sandpipers? I've only been here
for 3 Falls, but it seems there are more around than either of the other
2. So are there more this year than normal, or is my n too small?
