If we really want to be nitpicky...

Though I suppose if you really think about it, since the word Pacific is
used specifically in the descriptor, we inhabit the Pacific Northeast, as
we live on a northeastern coastline of the Pacific Ocean. Perhaps we
should say we live in the North American West, etc. Be sure to take this
humorously, it was meant that way...
