OK, I'm sorry to bring this topic on this line (which is clearly reserved
for English discussions), but I have a bird 'thing' to discuss. I saw an
Accipiter yesterday downtown, and it was very big. The starlings flying
away from it gave me some estimate of its size. It was near dusk, so I
saw no other characters than those of your generic Accipiter (plus it was
moving fast). I'm not saying it was a Goshawk, but hinting that it might
have been. What are the odds of that? Or is this mostly wishful
thinking. I seem to remember reports of one last year at the Fill or
nearby. This bird was flying over I-5 near Madison.
