There's more than one flock and more than one kind of parrot about the
city. Actually Monk Parakeets seem less likely that, for example, Green
Parakeets (may have nested in a big snag in Seward Park last year or
so; Aratinga holochlora), Crimson-fronted Parakeets
(have nested last two years in Maple Leaf district; Aratinga finschii);
also seen are Rose-ringed Parakeets (a middle-eastern species; Psittacula
krameri?). It's a zoo out there.
