>Imagine my surprise when, the day after I posted my message about the
partial albino chickadee in my yard, I got the WOS newsletter with the
article about the current albino chickadee invasion! Anyway, I live on
Queen Anne, and the chickadee in question hasn't reappeared since the day I
saw it. However, this morning I saw another unexpected bird at the
feeder---a Mountain Chickadee. At first, I thought I was seeing the albino
again, but aside from VERY wide and long white superciliary stripes, it had
no unusual white markings. Its flanks were gray, rather than buffy like a
Black-capped Chickadee. Is it possible a partial albino Black-capped could
mimic a Mountain Chickadee? Which is more likely, two albinos or one
Mountain Chickadee?
