In response to Dennis's comment on the infomotion highway increasing our
awarness of oddities like the albino chickadees, we can also use this to
catch up on past unrecorded(unshared) observations. In 1990, we had a
partial albino chickadee at our feeder all winter. The outer tail feathers
only were white. As spring sprung, new normal feathers slowly replaced
the white ones until we couldn't tell which bird it had been. It will be
interesting to see if this is the "normal" progression for albino birds
as the ones at feeders get observed regularly.
