Here's an additional bird to add to the albino discussion: I observed
and photographed an immature Towsend's Solitaire at Indian Ford
Campground in July 1994. The bird had a completely white tail.
It was obviously a member of a recently fledged nest as it was
with two other immatures exhibiting beggin behavior and one adult that was staying very
close and offering food. It was possible to approach very close to the bird. IThe
other immatures were normal.
