Just for the record, now that I am scrutinizing all the chickadees at my
feeder, I find I have two individual partial albinos. (I finally saw them
both at the same time!) One bird has an almost completely white crown and
nape, white back and scapulars and white tail. The other has less white on
the crown (about half black, half white, with the white mostly in the
center), and some white on the back and scapulars, but not as extensive as
on the other bird. I haven't had a good look at the tail. The Mountain
Chickadee is still around, too. Will wonders never cease?
