Double-crested Cormorants

300 double-crested cormorants were banded by the Canadian Wildlife Service
this past summer with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and white leg bands
in the southern Vancouver Island-Strait of Georgia. We are most interested
in any sighting in Washington State, as the project is to document seasonal
movement patterns. In addition, 10 radio transmitters (166MHz range) were
attached to adult DCCO's. Any persons willing to collect information on
dates and locations of cormorants, or persons working with radio receivers
interested in listening for stray birds please contact Ian Moul at (604)
598-3141 Fax 598-3120. You can also contact Donald Norman at (206) 542-1275
or donorman at aol.com. All assistance will be acknowledged.
