Reading the "birds eating birds" thread reminded me of something else I saw
on a birdwatching trip to Venezuela. We came across a Laughing Falcon that
had just caught a snake and was proceeding to eat it. When first seen, the
falcon had just caught the snake, with only the head going down the throat.
The snake was still very much alive, wriggling like mad (it was about 2 feet
long). About every 15 seconds, the falcon would grab it with a foot and
shove another few inches in. The rest of the snake kept on wriggling, right
up to the time the tail went in. So, why does the Laughing Falcon laugh?
Because it tickles all the way down!
